Suffolk Sport Zone

This is your chance to have a go at a whole new sport or activity free of charge.  With experienced professionals on hand to guide, The Suffolk Sport Zone returns this year and continues to be one of the most popular areas of the Show.

Suffolk Sport, the County Sports Partnership for Suffolk, are leading the campaign to promote sport and physical activity throughout Suffolk, and have a fabulous programme of activity for the Show including tennis, gymnastics, rugby, golf, athletics and much more. 

With just over a year to go to the start of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Suffolk Sport are continuing their public pledge to get 25,000 more people in Suffolk active by asking Suffolk “What's your pledge for 2012!” to ensure a lasting legacy of mass sports participation

The whole area this year is 2012 themed as we start the countdown to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. Have a go at your favourite sport or one you’ve never tried before, find out how to volunteer with your local sport club, make your Olympic pledge - There will also be the chance to meet some past, present and future Olympians and Paralympians !

Helping to spread some of the magic dust of the games will be Olympic and Paralympic mascots Wenlock and Mandeville who will be making their first visit to Suffolk

Local sports clubs and sport National Governing Bodies provide the expertise to try a new sport.  Suffolk Sport and the SAA encourage anyone attending the Show to come along and HAVE A GO!
