SGR FM Interactive Sports Village at the Suffolk Show
The Suffolk Show takes place this year on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th May 2008 – half term week and one attraction that you cannot afford to miss is the SGR FM Interactive Sports Village.
The SGR FM Roadshow will be there with a full studio set up and broadcasting live from the Show. Nick Pandolfi (10am-2pm) and Paul Morris (from 2pm) will be presenting their entire shows from the stage. The SGR FM inflatable slide will also be there. Bright pink and green, its great fun for kids to have a go on - and 25% of the money taken goes to SGR FM's charity, 'Operation Santa Claus'. Another special attraction this year in the Sports Village, especially for fans of Dr Who, will be a full size Dalek. Have your picture taken with it, with all profits going to SGR FM's charity, 'Operation Santa Claus' (suggested donation £1).
The Sports Village is very pleased to be welcoming Suffolk Sport who will be promoting sport, active recreation and healthy lifestyles, with particular emphasis on the run-up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With fun-packed demonstrations, displays and sportrelatedactivities for all ages, they will be linking in with all the other sporting exhibitors, including Optua, who provide a wide range of services for disabled people across Suffolk.
Other sports represented in the area include sailing, tennis, cricket, golf and of course Ipswich Town Football Club who will returning with some of their players. The X-treme Trials Motor-cycle Display Team will be based here and perform their fearless display twice a day.
Christopher Bushby, Executive Director says “I am delighted that Suffolk Sport have taken on the mantle this year of providing the centrepiece for the sports village, ensuring that it is very much about ‘come and have a go and try your hand’ at the excellent array of sports that the County of Suffolk has to offer”.
