County Ball raises money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer
A sunny evening welcomed the 730 guests to the Suffolk County Ball, which was held at TrinityPark on Saturday 24th May 2008. Tickets sold in record time and the evening was a resounding success, raising £28,000 for Suffolk Breakthrough cancer research. The CountyBall is hosted every 3 years by the Suffolk Agricultural Association to raise money for Suffolk based charities.
“Breakthrough are absolutely delighted to receive this fantastic sum” said Ollie Hatcher of the Suffolk Group. “It will provide a huge boost to the research, campaigning and further education of people throughout Suffolk”
Sarah Brown, Chairman of the Organising Committee said “I am so proud to have been part of this event; The Suffolk County Ball brings together fine examples of local food, professional contractors, generous sponsors and excellent teamwork.”
The Committee would like to thank the guests and the many sponsors who gave so generously towards the evening, as without them we could not have achieved this huge
sum of money.
