SGR Sports Village

The SGR Interactive Sports Village returned again this year and continued to be one of the most popular areas of the Show. The Sports Village is great fun for all the family.

Suffolk Sport are leading the campaign to promote sport and physical activity throughout Suffolk, they had a fabulous programme of activity for the Show in addition to presenters from SGRfm radio station broadcasting live and providing entertainment throughout the two days. Suffolk Sport's aim was to provide a fun and vibrant exhibition of sport and health related demonstrations during the two days, including skateboarding, a trampolining cage and a cycling skills activity challenge.

The very exciting and skillful X-Treme Trials Team returned this year. The Team performed amazing freestyle tricks, some of which can only be attempted by a handful of riders throughout the world.

There were also many demonstrations by clubs and organisations held throughout each day as well as some great free offers available for anyone that visited them. Suffolk Sport together with partners Coastal Sports Alliance, Team Ipswich, Optua and Suffolk 2012 encouraged anyone attending the Show to come and see what was on offer.

The SGR Interactive Sports Village also featured many other popular sports including football by Ipswich Town Football Club, tennis, sailing, cricket and golf.
