Farriery Events

Following the success of the events last year, the Suffolk Agricultural Association will be holding another training day on Friday 2 March 2012, followed by the Eastern Counties Spring Championship on Saturday 3 March 2012.

The training day will be held on Friday 2 March 2012, tea and coffee will be available from 9.00am and the training will commence at 9.30am.  To apply, please complete the relevant section of the entry form which can be downloaded below.

The Eastern Counties Spring Championship
The Eastern Counties Spring Championship will be held on Saturday 3 March.  The prize fund for the classes is over £1,800, with a first prize of £500 in the Open Hunter Shoeing.  The Open Hunter Class is restricted to 32 competitors and, dependant on the level of entries received, it may be necessary to restrict entries in other classes.  Entries will, therefore, be accepted on a first come, first served basis.  ECSC Schedule. The Suffolk Agricultural Association is continuing to invest in the farriery facilities at Trinity Park and the permanent extension to the farriery building should be complete by March.

We do hope that you will be able to support some or all of these events and we look forward to receiving your completed form(s).  Other events are planned for later this year, including a Pre-Diploma Practice Day, and further details will follow on this page.
