Livestock & Equine
The 2012 Show will be held on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 June, a change from our usual dates because of the half-term moving a week later and the additional bank holiday to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Prize Schedules and entry forms will be available to download from the middle of February. For further information please contact Elizabeth Payne on 01473 707115.
In the equine classes, the Show offers qualifiers including RIHS, Olympia, Horse of the Year Show, NPS, BSPS and Ponies UK.
New for 2012
- Flat Ridden Sport Horse;
- Ridden Mountain & Moorland (in addition to the Olympia Ridden Mountain & Moorland classes) with NPS, Ponies UK and Equifest qualifiers;
- Ridden Skewbald & Piebald (in addition to the BSPA RIHS Ridden Skewbald & Piebald) with BSPA & Equifest qualifiers.
The Suffolk Show provides the ideal opportunity to see a wide range of animals - from Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs to Suffolk Punch Horses all at one venue. Animals can be viewed in the livestock and horse lines or, to see them at their very best, in the judging and main rings on parade.
For exhibitors, there is the chance to compete against the best for qualifiers and the prestige of becoming Suffolk Show Champion (thereby increasing the value of their animals or horses), or just to compete for fun. Either way, competitors have the chance to see friends from the Show circuit and to enjoy the great Show atmosphere.
The Show offers over 700 classes for heavy horses (turnouts and in-hand), light horses, private driving, coaching, show jumping, cattle, sheep, pigs and goats.
Further information, schedules and entry forms for farriery events to be held at Trinity Park.
